I don't like my job.
I work at a grocery store. I've made it up the ladder a little bit so I have extra responsibilities, and I have some people that I'm "over" in the loosest of terms. Every night we clean our own store and one of the things that I have to do is make sure the people I assigned tasks have completed those tasks. I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with this faux-management position where you have a low pay scale and lots of responsibilities you could get yelled at over. The restrooms are one of those responsibilities that you can get yelled at for and you have to make someone else do it. These are the things I hate. If you want me to make sure something is done correctly, let me do it. If you want me to delegate, give me strong people to delegate to. I digress. I assigned an old man, whom I thought was trustworthy, the restrooms and as soon as I could I went to check that they were clean.
